To the Teacher

TEACHERS! I love them. I remember all the ones that made a difference in my life. For instance; Ms. Dulin, my English teacher at Dundalk High School. She was a phenomenal woman that pushed me and encouraged my writing skills and my comprehension. She is one of the reasons my writing is what it is now. There are many people that are Teachers by occupation and unfortunately, that does not always guarantee a good educational experience.

Here's what's true....Teaching is a call. Yes! A call. Teaching is innate in every human being in various capacities, and here is where it starts; father, mother, sister, brother. The family is the natural and initial classroom of all education. It's where you learn how to walk, talk, behave and most importantly believe. The family gives you your first perspective of the world and yourself, it's the place where fundamental structures of identity are built. It's the place of equipping for the atmospheres and realities of the world. We receive tools to use, weapons to fight, and strategies to get ourselves out and into situations.

Teaching is in all and everyone does it whether they know it or not. As some might think, teaching is more than verbalization; but teaching is also modelization. We all learn in those two ways; by someone telling us what to do and showing us how to do it.

Now that the beginning place of teaching is established, I want to move on to what this post is really about.

This is To the Teacher. Remember when I said that teaching was a call? Well in a biblical context, Teaching is a gift and a function. Now, I'm not just talking about teachers in the home or at the school, but I'm talking about teachers who according to Ephesians 4:1-12...

"...and teachers,[d] 12 to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, 13 until we all attain to the unity of the faithand of the knowledge of the Son of Godto mature manhood,[e]to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, 14 so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes..."

These types of teachers, who function in a teaching gift are natural teachers; in that everything they do and who they are teaches. They have a strong desire to abolish ignorance and to educate those who need information and knowledge to move forward and understand their past, present, and future! These types of teachers have a strong desire to equip those who are obtaining the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. They love the Truth and they teach you the Truth. They debunk and dethrone lies. They open the eyes of the blind, they lift veils. They operate with the strong gifting of counsel.

See, called teachers, don't just leave you with information, but they give you tools and strategies to apply that information so that you will be able to do and to be! Teachers grow you up into another level, that you weren't able to get to before. Really good teachers, make you the expert. Most importantly they are empowered by the Spirit of God!

I'd like to leave you with something that God gave me this morning; be comforted, challenged and encouraged by it. I pray that this stirs the Teacher.

Teach and Teach Well!

Shatter his(satan) ears.

Drive him out by the teaching of My Word!

Equip them with strategies and tools.

Give them weapons to fight!

Remove him from the thrones of their hearts.

Evict him from their minds.

Teach them how to set up My Habitat.

Teach them the Next Level!

Strengthen the fighter with a new level of Spiritual Intelligence.

Make them to know and make them to work their know.

Because it pleases me when you know and not just feel.

It moves me when you know and work your know.

Teach Teacher, Teach!

Be Brave, Lions.
