Keep Quiet, Be Still

Updated: Apr 13, 2020

There are moments in life, where you and God are collaborators on an assignment and then there are moments where you're only contributing action is your stillness. Up until the moments of surrender, for those of us who are still growing in our walk, we are taking all of the responsibility and the 'work' on ourselves. You know how it goes, we consciously tell the Lord 'this is all you', you got this Jesus' or 'Im not worried', but in our hearts, we subconsciously carry our selves like we have a heavy burden upon our shoulders.

This manifests its self with frustration, fatigue, dwindling faith, and slight depression because we seem to forget that his yoke is easy and his burden is light! You are NOT supposed to carry this as you! The truth is you, we, I am not strong enough. When we try to do things on our own, everything is unnecessarily hard. There is no grace outside of his will, there is toil and struggle.

2 Corinthians 12:9 New International Version (NIV) 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.

Here me, I write from a very transparent place today; it's not on you. These are the very words Holy Spirit told me, ' It's not on you, it's all on me, I got this.' and I replied, ' You can do it so much better than I can'. How great is that! But listen, COME Monday morning the hardness of the assignment will show its face and probably worse than before. This is called "The Testing of the Word", this always happens after you receive a Word from the Lord, you get tested. How will you respond? Will you go back on your word or will you stand still and see the salvation (the answer, the manifestation, the working) of the Lord?

I encourage you Lions, that today we recognize one of the ways we utilize our fierceness is in our quiet moments. That's how the prey gets caught, some things don't need to know we're coming, some things we need to be in stealth mode for. So let God do his job and you do yours, Keep Quiet and Be Still.
